Developments is one of Strawberry Star’s primary businesses, with the organisation devising strategic long-term expansion plans in London. Development of private homes for sale within London and deployment of funds for developments and schemes in London are under the company’s purview.

It provides systematic end-to-end services at every stage of development. It also plans to expand the Development portfolio through Joint Ventures with private land owners in the UK, international investors and local authorities. Its ultimate aim is to target Greater London’s mid-market, through a number of development projects with a combined GDV exceeding £350 million.

Acquisition

Systematic and meticulous deployment appraisal process to ensure land acquisition at right prices and development returns commensurate with risk levels.

Funding

Working closely with Strawberry Capital, investing in own equity to fund land acquisition and the initial stages of every project. Investments are leveraged with development debt, secured on fully-funded basis with well-known lender, to maximise equity returns on each project.

Planning

Handling of appointment and management of experts to devise well-balanced proposals for land acquisition not having planning permits, to successfully secure planning consent.

Construction

Minimising construction risks by working with reputed contractors, who ensure intelligent design and maximise site manufacturing. Monitoring projects at every stage to ensure safety and minimal impact on neighbours.

Marketing & Sales

Customising marketing and sales strategy in partnership with New Homes sales team and network of offices, prior to every development project, to offer solutions that maximise sales while guaranteeing customers access to information.

Nick Stonley
Managing Director

Nick has 35 years of experience within the residential development industry. He joined Strawberry Star from United House Developments where he was Managing Director for 7 years.

Previously, Nick spent 13 years at Berkeley Homes where he was Managing Director for a number of their London Divisions. Nick has a strong London-centric contact base with experience in land acquisition and project management, and he holds an Honours Degree in Building.

Nick is responsible for every element of the delivery of our new build developments. His fastidious approach and eye for the smallest details ensure that we create the highest quality homes every time.

 

Steve Peters
Development Director

Steve is a multi-talented and result-oriented residential development professional with more than 3 decades’ of exposure to core aspects of the London residential property market. He joined Strawberry Star after 7 years with United House Developments where he was Operations Director.

He is highly skilled in all aspects of the development process from land acquisition through construction management and post contract services. He transformed several prestigious loss-making projects into profit-making ventures. In the past, he has held senior positions with leading companies, such as, Gleeson Regeneration & Homes South, Wates Regeneration, and Alfred McAlpine Homes London Ltd where he enjoyed successful stints.

At Strawberry Star, he oversees and monitors all development projects through short-term and long-term strategic plans.
